I am surrounded by fires, high winds, and avalanches. It's pretty much everything the History Channel promised.
Today (yesterday by now) sucked on a level so high that I can't even sleep tonight.
On a much happier note, Rhu is quite happy with his half-price Xmas bed from Target. I placed it under my computer desk so he could sniff it and get used to it. It was facing the wrong way, though. Rhu is very specific about in which direction he naps.
Fanny over-hang: U has it.

I re-directed it and lo, he fits snuggly!

Then I moved it on top of the entertainment center, and now I can barely see him when he naps.

In other happy news, Caleb had a bath and groom today. He's soft and fluffy and all his shedding hair is gone.
Otherwise, I am trying to keep in mind good things. My neighborhood isn't being evacuated. Rhu and Caleb are healthy and happy. Lost will be back on tv this month. No one won the lottery in tonight's drawing, so that's still a possibility. I've been gluten-free for over a week now and haven't caved. It's been so long since I've read one of my fave books that now while I am re-reading it, it seems like I'm reading it for the first time again. Ooh, and I got my $3.50 (including shipping) dvd of a Japanese time-travel/aliens/martial arts movie.
